Bambuser app allows you to stream live video from social media sites

bambuserFor those of you interested in streaming live video with your iPhones or iPads directly from your personal social media websites, you should consider downloading the Bambuser app. I quickly just gave it a test run, and it seemed to work pretty well.

After downloading Bambuser and creating an account, you have the option to configure the app to work on many of your favorite social media websites – Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Foursquare, Tumblr and several others. I have only tried it on Facebook to this point, but it took literally two minutes to set up and operate.

Upon logging in and authorizing it to stream on Facebook, Bambuser generates an embed code that you simply copy and then share on your Facebook wall. Once you embed the link, you just type in a description of what live video you are about to share with your friends. From there, you access the Bambuser app on your iPhone or iPad and are instantaneously ready to start recording with the webcam and streaming live on your social media site(s). It’s that simple.

This app could turn on to be particularly fun or useful for those of you who want to shoot videos at remote locations and share them immediately with your social media friends and followers. Essentially, you can turn your social media sites into their own broadcasting platforms.

Bambuser also lets you choose between three different video resolutions, two audio qualities and allows you to make your broadcasts public or private.

I have a lot more experimenting to do with this app before I can advise on how well it works, and there aren’t any reviews published yer for the latest version in the Apple app store. But considering the Bambuser app is free, it’s definitely worth a try – particularly if you have a newer iPhone or iPad, since the video capabilities are quite good.
